"Set-HIM-Off" (Sĕt-hĭm-ôf)
Definition: To Praise and Worship God to the point
where you trigger Him to act favourably on your behalf
or take you to the next level.
'Set
HIM Off' as a ministry,
will attempt to show that:
• music forms an important part of our
faith as Christians
• the church is a fun environment that
accepts everyone with open arms
• the church provides good, clean, uplifting
and refreshing music
• music as a major form of evangelism
and a medium to bring the gospel to the
people
• there is a great number of musical
talents in the body of Christ
• give new acts and talents the opportunity
to be discovered
• give old acts a medium to be heard
and to inform the audience of their new
work
• Promote UK gospel and encourage UK
churches to support UK gospel acts
• provide an alternative source of relevant
music to the MTV Base’s of this world
• reach the ‘Hip Hop’ generation, without
leaving behind the ‘High Life’ generation
• provide praise from all nationalities
and cultures, breaking current boundaries
• give our next generation a benchmark,
and to throw down a challenge for our
future stars
• And finally, provide a good TV viewing
programme to millions of viewers worldwide
‘Set HIM off’ is also a Gospel Music event that highlights
artists or acts using their music talents for Christ.
It cuts across our existent cultural barriers and is
diverse as it cuts through different types or styles
of music, from R&B, to Hip Hop, to African rhythms,
conventional Western music, Pop, Rap, and any other
styles that glorifies the Lord Jesus.
